Bulk tea

Our foundation was laid in the year 1879 with the formation of Jalpaiguri Tea Company Limited by Gopal Chandra Ghose. Today, we are a vibrant organization with an understanding of tea honed over five generations. We are tea merchants by profession and tea professionals by birth. Our history is closely linked with the tea legacy of India. In fact, we were one of the first Indian families in tea. Over the century, as a tribute to excellence and dedication to the industry, we have emerged as one of the foremost organizations in Indian tea.

 

Our activities in tea are all encompassing - cultivation, processing, trading and packaging. We have estates, warehouses, blending units, packaging factories and outstanding tea professionals.

 

Export of tea is one of our prime areas of activity, which dates back to 1960 .Our operations commenced with shipments of bulk tea and gradually expanded to packet tea and tea bags in line with our customers' requirements. We enjoy an enviable reputation for our expertise in trading, blending and packaging. Our clients comprise of the most well known and respected tea companies internationally, many of whom have been in business with us for decades.

Assam
  Our headquarters in Calcutta along with the branch office in Kochi, operates in all the major tea auction centers to ensure the widest selection of both North and South Indian teas. This put together with the warehousing and blending facilities in Calcutta, Kochi and Siliguri ideally complements the experience and expertise of our panel of tasters and blenders. Shipments are executed from Calcutta as well as Kochi.
